"Old Black Fly" Children's Book
“Old Black Fly” by Jim Aylesworth is about a fly that decides to land on everything at Grandma’s house. The original book has a dark and almost dirty feel because flies are not the ideal house guest. The final design uses a lot of dirty textures and dark shadows to portray a similar feel with minimal illustrations. It was meant to be driven by the typographic content rather than the illustrations.
